Chat with Nassa!
Your Board of Directors has started New Years with a bang, and
we are excited at the prospect of a fruitful year filled with good
things for NASSA. One thing we really wanted to improve on is open
communication with our voting membership. We have started a "yahoo
groups" chat list for the purpose of encouraging and facilitating
communication between the voting NASSA membership, and its elected
Board of Directors. The list will be limited to current NASSA members
who have voting privledges. This excludes junior and associate
members.
We hope to pleasantly discuss topics with you concerning our
association.
We want this chat list to be a good experience for everyone. A few
ground rules will, of course, have to be followed by all chat list
members for the good of all. These rules may be subject to change.
Violators may be banned.
A) No gossip, or discussion concerning individuals will be allowed.
B) No spam, off-topic chat, or advertising.
C) No rude behavior, flaming, or name calling will be allowed. Posts
should be constructive, not destructive.
D) No anonymous posts. All posts must be "signed" with NASSA
member's full name and flock number.
For sensitive or private issues, members are encouraged to
continue using the "e-mail the Board" link at www.shetland-sheep.org,
or phone or e-mail a Board member.
Please be mindful that this chat list will be operated in good
faith, and if it consistently fails to be constructive due to abuse,
it will have to be deleted.
Your Board members are volunteers and are not on-line every day, so
please be patient while awaiting responses. To join this chat list,
visit the
following URL: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chat_with_NASSA/
In the information box on the sign up page, full name and flock
number must be included so we can check membership status before
allowing people onto the list. First posts will more than likely be
moderated, this will eliminate spam. Thank you for taking the time to
talk to your Board members, we want to hear from you! Enjoy the list!"
